Basement Organization Check List

As fall gets closer, it may be time to take a weekend with your family to organize your basement.

Making space now will make fall yard clean-up so much easier.

Here is a simple three step check list with basic directions.

  1. Clean the clutter – Separate your things into three different categories “good”, “giveaway”, and “garbage”. Schedule your pickup promptly and place your items in a safe place to await the charity of your choice.
  2. Sort your “goods” – Sort what you are keeping, box and label accordingly. Remember that cardboard holds moisture and can mold during the warmer months. We suggest you invest in a few plastic storage bins with airtight lids.
  3. Shelve your bins – Any large lot store or hardware store offers metal/grating shelving units. Metal units are preferable. Once again, the main goal in your basement is to reduce moisture and mold. Metal racks with woven wire shelves will let your plastic bins breathe and not absorb moisture. make sure your new labels are on the side facing out.

As always, Tremendous Maids stands ready to help you with all your home cleaning problems.

Walpole Outdoors is an established business, with over eighty years in their field. Providing content management for a company with products admired across the USA offers unique opportunities.

Regular quality content insures that customers are not overwhelmed by the rich and dense catalog of products they offer.

A blog offers Walpole the opportunity to educate potential clients on the many diverse uses of their product. It also offers search engine opportunities. Articles are each written for a different demographic, the keywords most likely used by these demographics in search engines, and links built that associate the product with these keywords AND potential clients.

Established clients with dependable product descriptions often simply need someone to organize their product copy in a search engine friendly way to boost their organic traffic.

Quality content is also a great way to establish trust with new customers interested in buying larger ticket items, such as home improvement projects. With dense links provided for all their social media presences, future clients can read what others are saying about their products.

Blog content provides an opportunity for Walpole to tie all the moving parts of the company’s inbound marketing strategy together and instructs readers on how to use them effectively.

From Walpole Outdoors:

Arbors – Unlimited Garden Architecture Uses

Arbors can have many uses in your garden structure. Not to be confused with pergolas, they are smaller structures used to frame a small space, seating area, gate or even walkway.

These romantic structures allow you to use green growth as a shade canopy. Natural deciduous shade is not only vital for some shade plants to survive, but also can be a healthy way to enjoy your garden for long periods of time with only indirect sun on your sensitive skin.

Let’s face it, though… we love arbors because they enrich our outdoor enjoyment so very much!

Would you like to construct a nice quaint outdoor seating area to read a book and sip a cup of tea?

Arbors are the way to go. These design elements provide incredible beauty and texture to a garden.

Yankee Magazine had this to say:

A space with flowers becomes a place for flowers when it is framed by a picket fence or accessed by an arch or arbor covered with climbing vines.

Arbors can also provide shade for front and back entryways, offering a cool entrance for guests as well as less heating direct sun on your doorways.

Of course arbors in the garden are a traditional way to add dimension to your architecture there. A well grown arbor on your front gate at the curb can make your house jump out to neighbors. When you raise your curb appeal, you raise your property values as well as the entire block you live on.

In case you’re unsure of the difference between an arbor and a pergola, this paragraph from one of our previous articles will explain it:

A pergola is a structure usually consisting of parallel colonnades supporting an open roof of girders and cross rafters. The word is Italian taken from the old Latin name for the structure, “pergula”. These noble structures are designed to create an enjoyable outdoor dwelling place.

Shade canopies are the best of all worlds. They offer you the option of having partial sun or full shade as needed making your pergola more all weather and useful throughout most of the seasons.

Arbors tend to be smaller and are useful over walkways and entrance paths. These beautiful structures create dynamic entrances into your home and yard.
